Description
'Toio' floor lamp, designed by Castiglioni brothers for Flos in 1962. Basement with current transformer, lacquered metal, steel. Giuliana Gramigna, in the book "Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 per l'arredo domestico" (Allemandi editore, Torino), wrote: 'Beyond its unified appearance, the lamp results from the aggregation of various pieces; the lighting body is a 125 volts Par headlight, which needs a current transformer which is left evident and mounted on the basement functioning as a counterweight. The lamp stands on an extensible metal stem and it's the copy of a fishing pole with high resistance including rings, inside which the electric wire is running, instead of the nylon wire'.
