Description
A pair of wall console tables, ivory-lacquered with gilded carvings. Base with carved feet with vegetable decorations, on which two uprights composed of in the round carved sphinx sculptures are leaning. The back is characterized with pilaster strips with vegetable carvings containing a compartment with mirror. In the band under the top there is a medallion with a Greek outline. It is held by two winged sphinxes, whose tails are fancy and contain roses. The spruce structure holds two white marble tops. Lacquering and gilding have been fixed. Manufactured in Naples, Italy, mid 19th century.
