Group of xylographies, part of the 92 drawings (by different authors) that accompanied the work (unfinished) desired by the Emperor Maximilian I (1459-1519) who, being a lover not only of duels and tournaments, but also of culture and of art, found a way to keep his memory alive by having his own deeds engraved and printed. The project was thought to be in three works, with a common subject subject, where his events could be told in allegorical form, from his father's business to his childhood, from tournaments to marriage to military campaigns. The title, White King, recalls the white armor he wore in tournaments. The manuscript with 92 drawings was found in 1665, while the xylographies were found a hundred years later and only then they were they used to illustrate the work. The seven xylographies proposed are very well preserved and presented in a visible frame.
