Description

A mantel clock with a pair of candle sticks made of white marble and bronze. The marble basement supports a sculptural composition with a bronze cupid, dark patina and finely chiseled gilded bronze ornaments with vegetable and military motifs: helm, sword and shield. In the middle, a glazed metal second dial with Arabian numbers. Perforated and gilded steel hands. Mechanism branded Japy Freres & C. Grand Medaille d'Honneur. The candle sticks have a marble basement with a bronze cupid, green patina, holding the two lights, volutes with leaves made on bronze, dark patina. The two colors and the cupids' gaze toward the clock give magnificence to the whole tryptych. Manufactured in France, third quarter of the 19th century.

Product Condition:
Excellent condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Any damage or loss is displayed as completely as possible in the pictures. The mechanism has been revised in February 2018.
