Oil on metal slab. On the frame's back there is an attribution to Jakob Gotzenberger (Germany, 1802-1866), famous German painter and portraitist, Peter Cornelius' pupil and member of the Nazarene Confraternity who, inspired by the artists of the first Italian Renaissance, promoted the rebirth of frescoes in Germany. The depicted subject is St. Eustache, recognizable thanks to his traditional iconographical representation: dressed like a hunter while he is contemplating the Cross between the antlers of the deer he is hunting. In that moment, Jesus talks and converts him. In good condition, already cleaned one time, it is presented in coeval frame.
