Bulin etching. Based on the drawing by Stefano Tofanelli (1752-1812). The printing is in excellent condition and reproduces the fresco by Guercino in Casino Ludovisi of Cardinal del Monte in Rome. Aurora is depicted as a young goddess on a chariot pulled by two horses. In front of her, the Night is escaping while a flying genius is crowning Aurora with flowers and another one is spreading flowers all around. On one side on the bed, there is the old husband Tithonus. At the top, three young women represent the stars and one of them is pouring dew from an urn. In frame. Late 1700s.
