Oil painting on canvas. Signature and date in the lower right corner. Double date in Roman number X of the Fascist period and Arabian numbers 1932. Pleasant and refined portrait depicting an old woman: she is smiling and sitting on a beach chair on a terrace overlooking a fluvial landscape. The artist is Luigi Brignoli, painter from Bergamo who studied at Carrara Academy with Tallone at first and at Brera Academy then. He was appreciated for his landscapes of Lombard tradition and was an esteemed portraitist. On the back, label belonging to Galleria Pesaro in Milan. The painting is presented in beautiful coeval gilded frame. 1932.
