Description

Finely chiselled and embossed silver plate. The borders are decorated with faces of men and embossed fruit. In the center of the plate woman with 17th century dress. The old gilding is still present in some areas of the plates enhancing the extremely accurate hand-work. The trademark of the manufactury is on the border and it reveals origin and date: the silversmith's mark "N" is hardly readable. The "N" indicates Germany, probably Augsburg silversmith.
