Oil painting on cardboard signed in the lower right corner. Title on the back. Ezio Pastorio was a great master of the Italian 20th century. He was able to renew the artistic language of landscape paintings by keeping a strong bond to the 19th century's painting. He was born in Cremona from a family of collectors and antique dealers. He studied in Naples at Istituto delle Belle Arti, in Milan at Aldo Carpi's studio and in Bergamo at Accademia Carrara. From 1941 onward, he spent a lot of time in Val Seriana and he was strongly influenced by its landscape. His production counts mostly landscapes and recalls the places of his life. Presented in frame.
