Description : Madonna con Bambino e San Giovannino

Oil on canvas. North-Italian School (Ferrara?). The Virgin Mary had been placed in the middle of the the composition, sitting relaxed under the tree's fonds, while holding with an arm Baby Jesus on her knees and with the other one is embracing young John. A consacration cerimony is taking place between the two young boys: Jesus is holding a crown and is leaning against John to place it on his head while young John is kneeling in front of him. In the background there is a farmhouse and a wayfarer with his donkey and a bucket for drawing; he might be Saint Joseph who's looking for something to feed his family. The painting, in original canvas that has some signs of previous restoration works, need additional renovations because of some color drops and signs of unproper restoration works. Displayed in an ancient refined frame.
