Description : Martirio di Santo Stefano

Oil on canvas. Center-Italian School. The young Stephen suffers the martyrdom of stoning: surounded by his avid turturers, Sephen looks at the sky where an arrey of little angels is waiting for him with the martyrdom's palm in their hands. The plastic and round movementsof the half naked bodies of the men are opposite to the static and delicate pose of the saint who's dressed up in is own clothes. The all scene is dominated by dynamism. The painting had been restored and displayed in frame.
