Oil on canvas. Emilian School. The Siant is praying and he can be recognized by the fisical features that are usually attributed to him; behind him, on the left there is a rooster crowing: in the Gospel it is said that Jesus prophesied to Peter that, during the Passion, he would deny him three times "before the rooster crows" and when this happened, Peter realized the evil he had done and cried bitterly. The rooster is considered the symbol of his repentance. The painting had been restored and displayed in frame.
