Description : San Giovannino

Oil on copper. The Baptist, though in the face of a small child, is traditionally depicted already with the iconographic attributes of his mission adult: surrounded by the guise of animals, but with the red cloak of martyrdom, and, next door, a lamb, and the regent the staff surmounted by a cross. The small painting is presented in a wooden frame carved with floral motifs, end of '800.
