Oil on cardboard. Signed on the upper right corner. Martino Dolci was born in Brescia from a modest family and it was artistically trained at the School of Still-Life Figure opened by Virgilio Vecchia in a room of the ex convent of Saint. Barbara in Brescia; Vecchia was a painter and costumer, nephew of the landscaper Giovanni Battista Bosio. All the protagonists of the brascian painting went through the ex convet then Martino Dolci had the opportunuty of know and get closer to the brescian artistic area. Dolci preferred glimpses of Ronchi and animals found inside the farmsteads around the city than the sill-life figure. The painting in question represents a lonely bird hanging by its beak. Framed.
