Olio su tela. Scuola inglese. In basso a sinistra firma (mal leggibile ) Thorne Waite. Rimanda al pittore inglese Robert Thorne Waite, che si specializzò nei paesaggi e scene pastorali, con particolare predilezione per gli angoli e i campi dei South Downs, animati da figure contadine. Il dipinto proposto ben si inserisce in questa sua produzione, vicina nel soggetto ed anche nello stile pittorico che rimanda alla corrente impressionista. Al retro è presente sulla tela una dicitura che rimanda d un passaggio in asta da Sotheby's nel 1970. E' presentato in cornice in stile.
