Description
Group of eight Viennese Biedermeier appliques, the support is made up of an element in the shape of a poded vase, with a floral corolla forming the lower part; the upper edge is also poded and perforated. Leaf elements and five candle-holding arms branch off from the vase, the central one and the external ones with floral corollas and curls, while the other two with leafy volutes; large floral corollas also act as supports for the candles. Entirely in carved and gilded wood, the arms and the curls that decorate them are in metal; they were electrified at a later time. Datable to the 20s-30s of the 19th century.
