Gouache on paper. Signed bottom right. On the left, the name of the ship. The acronym R.T.Y.C. defines its affiliation with the Royal Thames Yacht Club, the oldest sailing club of Great Britain, founded in 1775, although it took the current name only in 1830, and whose "commodore", the president of the club, is traditionally a member of the Royal Family. Luca Papaluca excelled for his portraits (especially gouache) of important yachts, steamships navigating, often located in the Gulf of Naples, where he lived and worked, with the Vesuvius in the background. The piece is presented in a frame.
