Description

Celestial table globe, engraved by W & A K Johnston, made up of twelve hand-colored laid paper panels, surrounded by a stamped brass meridian. The central horizon is also in laid paper. The globe is supported by four turned ebonized legs joined by stretchers. Alexander Donaldson was a leading Edinburgh globe maker in the early 19th century.
