Screenprint. Signed at the bottom right. Serial number 49/100 at lower left. Considered one of the leading figures on the art scene in the second half of the 20th century, Mimmo Rotella has linked his figure to the Nouveau Réalisme movement and international Pop Art. Rotella prefers the décollage technique, but he also makes assemblages and ready-mades with objects bought from junk dealers, such as bottle tops, ropes, wicker baskets and pieces of fabric. Since the early 1960s, his works have been characterised by the presence of stars from the silver screen and music, such as Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor, Marlon Brando and Elvis Presley.
