The wooden silhouette features a large marine animal with an anthropomorphized head and a resigned gaze, lying on the deck of a ship, recognizable by the hatches: it contrasts the potential drama of the scene with the bright and cheerful colors: Igor Andreev, a Russian artist born in Leningrad in 1952, escaped from the Soviet Union in 1972 during a trip to Canada, deciding in this new life to devote himself to art. In 1981 he moved to Paris, where he lives and works. In his works, defined as Neo-Pop art, he uses simple materials and shapes to create a positive, joyful and colorful world.
