Description

S. Mordan & Co. London postal scale in brass, resting on a shaped wooden base with a weight compartment (incomplete weights). Since 1843 "S. Mordan & Co." continued to produce silverware and brass postal scales until 1941, when their factory was destroyed by bombs during the London Blitz.

Object that due to age and wear requires restoration.
