Description : Immagine votiva

Embroidery on fabric with applications of parts painted on paper. The embroidery creates a floral decoration around a frame, in the center of which is the votive image: it describes the apparition of Mary to a peasant woman, recognizable by the sickle; in the background the sanctuary dedicated to the event. The faces and hands of the two figures are painted and applied to the canvas. The work is presented in a coeval wooden frame.
