Oil painting on canvas. Signed lower right. On the back the title, the date with the specific season (winter) and the place of realization (Campo, Tremezzina). There is also a dedication "The father to his simple little ...". Born in Barletta, De Simone began studying in Naples, staying close to the Neapolitan school, even after his transfer to Milan, where he remained. He devoted himself mainly to the landscape, portraying the Ticino landscape and the Lombard countryside, the Venetian lagoon, glimpses and impressions of the Como area where he lived for a few years. In his production there are also several portraits, children or women depicted in their everyday life. The work is presented in a frame.
