Oil on canvas. Signed lower right. A glimpse of the green countryside seen from the threshing floor of a farm, where hens scratch while the peasant woman hangs out the clothes; in the background opens the view of the distant sea. Work of the Como-born artist Attilio Guffanti, who later lived in Nice. His production ranged somewhat across the board, from landscape to still lifes, genre and historical painting. The painting is presented in a gilded frame from the mid-1900s, worked in imitation of an older style.
