Description

Imari porcelain vase with gilt bronze mounts with candlestick function. The vase painted in blue below has polychrome enamel decorations of plants, flowers and Shishi lions within reserves. Base in gilded bronze with rocaille and lion handles on the sides. The Japanese porcelain vase is from the late Edo period (1603-1868) and the gilt bronze mounts were made in France in the same period, around 1850.
