Description : Testa Leonardesca
Oil painting on canvas. The head of a girl, presented half-length, with loose curls on the shoulders and a popular two-tone tunic, in the slightly turned face, with a fixed gaze on the viewer and with a barely hinted curl of the lips, refers to the school of Leonardo Da Vinci and to his extensive production of studies of faces and heads. On the back there is a label for participation in an exhibition by Leonardo da Vinci at Palazzo dell'Arte in Milan, in May-October 1939 (year XVII of the fascist era), but even if the thick cretto validates a dating of several centuries, it is he believes it can only be a work of Vincentian inspiration. The work is presented in a style frame
