Description
Embroidery on silk. On the back the date and the attribution to Anna Micheli Pellegrini, from Carrara. It is an early work by the Carrarese painter, wife of the compatriot sculptor Ferdinando Pelliccia. The beautiful embroidery features three birds (a budgie, a quail and a shrike) resting on the dry branches of a shrub. Delicate colors and refined work that renders the nuances of the plumage well. Moisture gore. The embroidery is presented in a styled frame.
