Acrylic on canvas. On the back the signature of the author, the date 12-5-1977 and the place of realization Milan. Keizo Morishita born in Kitakyushu in Japan, at the age of nineteen he moved to Italy thanks to a scholarship, he attended the Brera Academy in Milan under the guidance of Marino Marini and in 1968 he graduated in sculpture. Later, however, he chose to express himself pictorially, developing a personal style that was born from a meditated and highly cultivated encounter between Eastern culture and European artistic expression. From the Archipelagos of the seventies - of which the work presented here belongs - to the more recent Landscapes of memory, his paintings present ideal landscapes of absolute formal purity and great chromatic intensity, ordered according to a perfect geometry of forms and immersed in a crystalline light. He was the protagonist of an intense exhibition activity in both Italian and foreign public and private galleries.
