Watercolor on paper. . Signed top right. Originally from Cremona, Mario Natale Biazzi, after having attended the Carrara Academy in Bergamo, moves to Brera, in Milan, where he meets and lives in close contact with those who will be the greatest exponents of Futurism and Italian art. Gifted with incredible talent, he won various awards at an international level and spent two years in London confirming himself as the most “European” of Cremonese painters. Back in Cremona he becomes the official portraitist of the whole bourgeoisie, sought after for the incredible investigative capacity of his portraits, never predictable and always extremely psychological and intense. Biazzi also makes several self-portraits, at different ages, sometimes with the palette in hand. The work is presented in a style frame.
