Oils on canvas. Signed top right. Originally from Cremona, Mario Natale Biazzi, after having attended the Carrara Academy in Bergamo, moves to Brera, in Milan, where he meets and lives in close contact with those who will be the greatest exponents of Futurism and Italian art. Gifted with incredible talent, he won various awards at an international level and spent two years in London confirming himself as the most “European” of Cremonese painters. Back in Cremona he becomes the official portraitist of the whole bourgeoisie, sought after for the incredible investigative capacity of his portraits, never predictable and always extremely psychological and intense. Also this portrait of a lady is striking for the intensity of the gaze, the position of the body that transmits determination, and the chromatic characteristics of Bazzi, who prefers acid colors and cold tones. The work is presented in a frame.
