Description : Angolo dell'Isola dei Pescatori

Oil on the table. The painting bears the apocryphal signature of S. Poma, which is believed subsequently to be an attribution. On the back the title, with further attribution to Silvio Poma. However, it is a pleasant glimpse of the smallest of the three Borromean islands of Lake Maggiore, with a glimpse of the shore on which a washerwoman is busy at work; next to her, the small boat typical of the Lombard islands. The subject is in keeping with the production of the Lombard artist, landscape painter specializing in lake views of the Lombard lakes. The painting is presented in a contemporary frame.
