Description : "The nest"
Mixed technique. 90's. Born in Senago (Milan), Davide Nido, after the artistic high school, graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts: during his studies he was chosen among many other students of the Academy by Achille Bonito Oliva for the exhibition "Imprimatur" , held in 1992, in the former Church of San Carpoforo in Milan: Davide shows up with a nest. A path continues that leads him to express himself and to exhibit his works of art through numerous collective and personal exhibitions, in Italy and abroad. In 1997 he also began his teaching career, first at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and from 1999 in Brera. In his first years of activity Davide Nido elaborates paintings and sculptures that have evident affinities with the natural world: in particular among his works there are large nests made with plastic materials, such as rubber tubes, and gigantic cobwebs with synthetic materials, such as nylon and bostik. Nido is able to give life to an abstract, new and personal formal language, which starts from the geometric structure of the image and the synthesis of the primordial geometric form, using the color and textures of synthetic materials, such as hot melted silicone glues, to create a globalizing and poetic expressive language. The work comes from a private Milanese collection.
