Description
Oak moon phase wall clock, England, second half of the 19th century. Display in gilded and painted metal with allegory of the four seasons placed on the sides, semicircle with starry background hosting the moon phases, dial with hours in Roman numerals and minutes in Arabic numerals with brass hands in the center, day marking box and painted floral decorations . Display protected by an opening door in blown glass, the latter also placed within two small windows on the sides to show the internal mechanism. Lower part shaped with weights in the shape of a pine cone; exposed pendulum.
