Description

Ducrot" chest of drawers supported by turned feet, on the front it has three drawers framed between a pair of pilasters to support the undertop band; in mahogany, they are decorated with gilded carvings, the top is in marble. Vittorio Ducrot took over the management of his stepfather's furniture factory in 1902, renaming it "Studio Ducrot", managing to establish himself more and more in the field of artisanal and industrial production of Sicilian furnishings. Specializing in the design and manufacture of mass furnishings, he availed himself of the collaboration of some of the most important artistic personalities of the time. Among these must certainly be included Ernesto Basile, an architect who at the beginning of the twentieth century held the position of art director, leading the company to international success.
