Oil painting on canvas. 19th century English school. The landscape, in the darkness of the night, is illuminated only by the light of the full moon, which in particular makes the river that flows slowly through the countryside shine, near a ruin; the river is animated by the shadows of figures, fishermen on their boats and the traveler crossing the bridge of boards. Restored and relined, the painting is presented in a period frame.
