The pleasant glimpse of the Venetian calle, animated by two boatmen carrying their boat into the narrow canal, is a little recurring subject in the production of the painter of Reggio origin Alpenore Gobbi, who lived for a long time in South America and then in the United States, establishing himself above all as a portraitist and genre scene painter, as well as as an interior decorator.
