Description : Maternità

Oil painting on canvas. Signed M. Ronchi and dated 1955 lower right. On the back there is the indication "La Madonna di via Solari 3, Milano", which would locate the original from which this canvas was inspired. It proposes a motherhood that is in any case a sacred image, a traditional Madonna and Child, albeit placed in a secular environment, seated on a balcony from which one has a broad view of the city below. The signature would refer to Marino Ronchi, a Milanese artist (1921 -2015) who was a fresco painter and painter, albeit with a progressively more abstract style. The work is presented in a period frame.
