Description

Round Lombard Empire table in poplar veneered with walnut pedules, Italy, first quarter of the 19th century. Inlaid top with knightly scene in maple within a border, both added later, undertop band with drawer and ebonized moulding. The column uprights and feet are also ebonized; chiselled gilt bronze capitals. Uprights connected by a shaped shelf.
