Pastels on paper. The girl, in an elegant white dress, holds a nocked bow and wears a moon-shaped diadem on her head, both symbols of the goddess Diana the huntress. It was a habit, a parlor game of the nobility and high-born families of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, to have themselves portrayed in the guise of mythological or allegorical characters, also in the wake of Neoclassicism. Framed in style.
