Oil painting on canvas. Signed and dated lower left. The Danish painter Johannes Hermann Brandt is known above all for his seascapes, often with the sea moved by high waves that lash against the rocky coasts, evidently those of Denmark; the glimpses are characterized by intense light effects, often associated with a few colors, those of the sea and the sky from which the light filters. The painting has been restored and relined.
