Description : Putto aureolato su nuvola

Oil painting on canvas. A chubby haloed putto sits on a cloud and observes something resting on his little hand, perhaps a butterfly: it could be a sweet image of the Child Jesus, in glory but still expressing the tenderness of childhood. The canvas was restored and relined in 1960, as documented by the label on the back. It is presented in a 19th century frame, to be restored due to numerous shortcomings.
