Description
The Alzer 55 rigid suitcase is one of Louis Vuitton's iconic models, still produced today and appreciated because it is spacious, robust and easy to handle. The interiors are lined in canvas, the finishes in lozine reinforced by brass rivets; brass is also used for the locks and the reinforcing plates on the corners. The two additional closures, inspired by the trunks of the Maison, are characteristic. Everything is original, including the central lock with fully functional mechanism and keys. Inside it has the authentic label bearing the unique number of the product (933996). It is produced with the famous Monogram canvas, a fabric characterized by stylized flowers and “LV” monograms, invented in 1896 by Georges Vuitton, son of Louis. The motif was perhaps created in homage to the neo-Gothic style, or as a product of Japanese cultural influence. The conditions are almost perfect, showing very slight signs of wear.
