Description
Napoleon III work table in bois de rose veneer, France Last Quarter 19th Century. Openable upper surface, containing mercury mirror and double bottom compartment, under-surface paper towel compartment, lower support surface, wavy legs ending in bronze shoes. Inlaid on the tops and on the band with floral motifs and elements of rocaille taste in maple, stained maple and Indian walnut. The decoration is completed by eyelashes and foliaceous applications with gilt bronze ram heads. Chiseled hardware.
