Oil on canvas. Signed lower right. On the back, further signature with declaration of authenticity, and title. Originally from Gattinara in the Vercelli area, Dedo Domenicone depicted places and characters from his homeland in his works, often reinterpreting them in a fantastical key, such as this view of Isola Bella on Lake Maggiore, overflown by a large insect ridden by a blue child. The work is presented in a frame.
