Description : Madonna orante

Oil on canvas applied to the table. It is part of the standing figure of Mary, with her hands joined in prayer and her head surrounded by a crown of stars. These attributes refer to the iconography of Mary the Immaculate Conception, which, drawing from the Apocalypse, depicts her standing on a crescent, crushing a snake underfoot, surrounded by stars and in an attitude of prayer. The painting was probably part of a larger canvas. The painting has small drops of color. It is proposed in a stylish frame.
