Oil painting on canvas. Signed lower right, barely legible. Further signature and title on the back. The theme of nature, landscapes and situations present in his memory recur in Mario Bionda's works, but human figures are also recurring, depicted distorted and with color choices focused on a single color scheme. Author of a painting that expresses the intimate human drama, between contemplation of nature and rarefaction of the image, Bionda often loved to use mixed techniques, layering natural materials and pigment, colors alluding to the elements of nature (fire, water, earth), in shades of brown and green of the woods and marshes, or in the whites, grays and blues of the sky and the sea. In this work motherhood is depicted accompanied by the vigilant presence of the father, in the chromatic ranges of beige, with inserts of brown and blue, which create a warm and soft atmosphere as a whole. The painting is presented in a frame.
