Oil on canvas. Signed lower right, dated lower left. On the reverse side further signature, date and title, with declaration of authenticity. In the extensive pictorial production of Franco Ferlenga, who was also an architect, decorator and sculptor, there are many themes tackled by the artist: the landscape, the figure, social themes, great works and the sacred. Recurring are the human figures, often suffering, expressing in their faces, in their positions, with the aid of acid colours, a strong emotional unease, as in this work which, although the title indicates a gesture of affection, seems to express the search for an emotional closeness in the drama of two people. The work is presented in a frame.
