Oil on canvas. Signed lower left and dated lower right. Additional signature, title and date on the back. In the extensive pictorial production of Franco Ferlenga, who was also an architect, decorator and sculptor, there are many themes addressed by the artist: the landscape, the figure, social themes, great works and the sacred. Recurring are the human figures full of pathos, suffering from a social malaise, as in this work that proposes a group of three figures, a man, a woman and a child, seated distraught on the ground, expressing a strong loneliness and abandonment with their poses and faces. Contributing to the expression of these feelings are the acid, cold colours. The work is presented in a frame.
