Description : Ritratto di J.P. Harley

Oil painting on canvas. On the back, on the stretcher, there is an inscription identifying the character portrayed and attributing it to the painter George Clint, with a reference to the origin "from the collection of Mrs Wylie,..Chelsea". The London painter George Clint established himself as a portrait painter of the English nobility, but also of the artists of the theatrical world, who he depicted as they trod the stage. The painting has slight drops of color. It is presented in a gilded frame from the late 1800s - early 1900s.
