Oil painting on canvas. Signed, dated and titled on the reverse. Milanese painter and sculptor, Claudio Olivieri is considered one of the main exponents of Italian Analytical Painting, an artistic current formed in the Sixties which considered Painting as an object of investigation of itself, thus losing the referentiality that linked it to reality (in figurative painting) , expressiveness (in abstract painting) and underlying meaning (in conceptual art). Olivieri, after an analytical period, from the early 70s focuses the dominant feature of his work on the luminous expansion of color on the canvas. The diffusion of light in the space of the work is the focal point of a research that continues in all its forms, until the 2000s. The work is presented in a frame.
